Ethics & Legal Compliance

Our unwavering commitment to international medical ethics, legal compliance, and the protection of patient and donor dignity

Our Core Ethical Principles

These principles guide every aspect of our work and are non-negotiable in all circumstances

Patient Dignity First

Every patient deserves respect, dignity, and full transparency. We never exploit vulnerability or desperation.

Donor Safety & Consent

All donors must participate voluntarily, with full informed consent, and without coercion or financial exploitation.

Legal Compliance

We operate in strict accordance with international law, local regulations, and established medical standards.

Full Transparency

We provide honest, complete information about processes, risks, limitations, and alternatives without deception.

Zero Tolerance for Trafficking

We categorically reject and actively oppose all forms of organ trafficking and transplant tourism.

International Standards

We follow WHO guidelines, the Declaration of Istanbul, and internationally recognized best practices.

The Declaration of Istanbul

Our foundational ethical framework

The Declaration of Istanbul on Organ Trafficking and Transplant Tourism is an internationally recognized policy document that addresses the urgent global issues of organ trafficking, transplant commercialism, and transplant tourism.

We are fully committed to upholding every principle outlined in this declaration, including:

Prohibition of Organ Trafficking

The recruitment, transport, transfer, harboring, or receipt of living or deceased persons or their organs by means of threat, force, coercion, abduction, fraud, deception, or abuse of power for the purpose of exploitation by removing organs for transplantation.

Opposition to Transplant Commercialism

A policy or practice in which an organ is treated as a commodity, including by being bought, sold, or used for material gain.

Protection of Vulnerable Populations

Special safeguards must be in place to protect the poor, undocumented immigrants, prisoners, and other vulnerable groups from exploitation.

Informed Consent and Autonomy

All donors and recipients must provide free and informed consent without coercion, and must fully understand the risks and benefits.

Transparency and Accountability

All transplant activities must be transparent, traceable, and subject to oversight by competent authorities.

Our Commitment: We do not facilitate, promote, or engage in any practice that violates the principles of the Declaration of Istanbul. Our role is strictly educational and supportive, connecting patients with verified programs that operate within these ethical boundaries.

Ethics & Compliance Questions

How do you ensure that programs you connect patients with are ethical?

We conduct thorough verification of all transplant programs, including review of their legal status, accreditation, adherence to international guidelines, donor consent procedures, and patient safety records. We only work with programs that demonstrate full compliance with the Declaration of Istanbul and WHO guidelines. Any program found to engage in unethical practices is immediately removed from our network.

What is your stance on living donor transplants?

Living donor transplants are ethically acceptable when conducted with full informed consent, without coercion or financial exploitation, and with proper medical evaluation to ensure donor safety. We support living donation only when it occurs between family members or close personal relationships where genuine altruism can be verified, and when comprehensive donor protection measures are in place. We categorically oppose any form of paid living donation or donor recruitment that exploits vulnerable populations.

How do you handle situations where patients request unethical services?

If a patient requests services that violate ethical standards—such as purchasing organs, bypassing legal requirements, or engaging in transplant tourism—we firmly decline and explain why such practices are harmful and illegal. We provide education about ethical alternatives and, when appropriate, report suspected illegal activities to relevant authorities. Our commitment to ethics is non-negotiable, even if it means losing a potential patient relationship.

Our Ethical Commitment is Absolute

We believe that every patient deserves access to life-saving transplant information and support. However, this access must always be provided through ethical, legal, and transparent channels that respect human dignity, protect vulnerable populations, and uphold the highest standards of medical integrity.

Our commitment to these principles is unwavering and guides every decision we make.
